Cannabis markup change

Cannabis Bulletin

This bulletin is to advise all cannabis licensees of an important change being made to cannabis wholesale pricing:

  • In alignment with the Government of Alberta’s budget announcement made February 24, 2022, AGLC has implemented a cannabis markup.
  • Effective immediately, a six per cent (6%) wholesale ad valorem markup will apply to all cannabis products.
  • Information about the markup, including a new Cannabis Markup Schedule, is available on AGLC’s website at aglc.ca.
  • Section 4.2 of the Retail Cannabis Store Handbook has been amended to reflect this change.
